The Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship is a full housing and tuition college grant offered to golf caddies. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years. The scholarship is from the Evans Scholars Foundation founded by amateur golfer Charles "Chick" Evans Jr.
The criteria for this scholarship: a strong caddie record; excellent academics; demonstrate financial need and outstanding character. The Evans Scholarship is valued at an estimated $120,000 over four years.
The Western Golf Association is headquartered in Golf, Illinois and has supported the Chick Evans Scholarship Program through the Evans Scholars Foundation since 1930. This is the nation's largest scholarship program for caddies.
Over 32,000 golfers across the country contribute to the scholarship fund as members of the Evans Scholars Par Club Program. Alumni also donate more than ten million dollars annually, and all the proceeds from the BMW Championship are donated to the Evans Scholars Foundation.
