Athletic Director Coach Curtis Price 1st Pitch Ceremony

A new tradition started by Head Baseball Coach Kruse in 2018 honors a different member of the Marian Central Family prior to each home game with throwing out the first pitch to start each game.

Friday April 5, 2019 Coach Price was welcomed to do that honor.

Coach Price has had quite an impressive journey; starting with a legendary career in high school basketball at St. Rita High School in Chicago. While in high school, Coach Price was a three-time All Chicago Catholic League Selection. He scored over 1,500 points, recorded over 1,000 rebounds and still holds the career record for rebounds and blocks at St. Rita High School. As a student-athletes, Coach Price was inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches HALL OF FAME in 2006 and was inducted into St. Rita's HALL OF FAME in 2009.

After High School, he attended DePaul University from 1988-1993 and played in 3 NCAA Tournaments, being a two year starter.

Professionally, Coach Price became a member of the Marian Central Staff in 1997. He served as the Assistant Boys Basketball Coach from 1997-2000. Coach Price has been the Head Boys Basketball Coach since the 2007-2008 season, and has earned 3 Regional Titles during his regime.

In 2013 Coach Price was selected as the Marian Central Assistant Athletic Director. He has since been promoted and has served as our current Athletic Director since 2016. He maintains the reputaion of being one of the student body's favorite staff members.
